For as long as I can remember I’ve been an avid animal lover. I grew up with dogs, chickens, horses and a steer, and have been told my entire life I just ‘have a way’ with all animals. I’ve been working for Walk This Way since I moved to California a year ago and it’s by far the best job I’ve ever had. Previously, I would pet sit in Colorado; dogs, horses, goats, and cats! I feel beyond blessed to get paid to be with my furry friends everyday. The love of dogs is like no other.
I have been drawn to animals, especially dogs, since I was young. I’ve had pets all my life, from pit bull boxers to cocker spaniels to shih tzus. I love getting to work amongst all of our cute and loveable dogs. I know each dog is special and has it’s own personality. I am fortunate to be able to work at Walk This Way with some amazing fur companions.
I have been a dog lover All my life! I’m a chocoholic too. Working for Walk This Way is Heaven for me! I've been working for Niki since August 2009, and I still can't believe I get paid to do this. And if I use the word "work", I put it in quotes because it doesn't seem like "work". We have so many Fantastic dogs, and I just love watching them play and have so much fun together!!
I have always had a love for all animals. Having worked as a veterinary technician for 15 yrs in practices from Boston to Colorado that treated small animals like birds, iguanas and turtles to larger animals like cats, dogs and the occasional baby elk! I also volunteered at the New England Aquarium in Boston, feeding orphaned baby harbor seal pups in order to get them strong and old enough for release.
What I love most about this job is being able to be around such gentile, calming souls. It's hard to have a bad day when you're surrounded by such happy, wiggly, loving fur babies! I love our Clients as much as their doggies and treat their 4 legged companions as if they were my own.

Ok, I'm not officially employed, but I sure am part of the team!
You might see me herding the pack or sleeping in the car on the way home. I love to "work" at Walk This Way CA. Livin' the Dream!
I worked as a bookkeeper for our family business in San Francisco for 25 years. When my oldest daughter graduated from college and my youngest daughter started middle school, I thought it was a good time for a change.
We rescued a high energy Pit Bull mix puppy named Lulu, which made me want to alter my own sedentary ways. I've mostly been a sissy about exercise and became an expert at concocting reasons why I couldn't venture out in weather below 70 degrees. Slight breeze? Forget it. However, I had an idea that dog walking would be a great way to combine my love of dogs and need for exercise and that's when I was lucky to join Walk This Way back in 2016.
I've always loved dogs, especially my own, but I didn't know that I could bond so deeply with other dogs as well. I also didn't know I could laugh so hard at their silliness! Over the years, "my dogs" and I have walked hundreds of miles on dozens of trails in the rain, wind, fog and heat. (I can say that I'm almost cured of being sedentary!) Dog walking continues wonderful life changing experience!
